Saw chain equipped angle grinders are extremely useful, versatile, and powerful cutting tools, BUT careful attention to safety is essential in the use of such tools. Here we note some safety tips to make saw chain usage worry free.

ALWAYS follow the use and safety instructions in your angle grinder's operator manual.

ALWAYS grip the grinder firmly with both hands.

DO NOT cut or carve on any material that is held by others.

ALWAYS be sure the blade does not make any contact with the guard on the grinder.

DO NOT use these blades to cut any metal or masonry products.

ALWAYS wear proper clothing and protective gear, such as goggles and gloves.

DO NOT allow others to stand in the path of flying chips.

ALWAYS be sure the cutters are oriented in the proper direction of the cut.

NEVER over-tighten the nut as this will reduce or eliminate the kickback protection. Serious kickback can occur.

ALWAYS be sure the nut and chain are properly seated and aligned with respect to the two blade halves.

NEVER use this blade within ten (10) feet of any bystander or pet.
